Hi WordPress hackers.  I’ve been scouring the internet like the rest of you searching for how to resolve my clients Woocommerce websites being down.

Anyways here is the quick fix to get you back up and running.

The error people are getting is:

Fatal error: GeoIP API: Error traversing database

Fatal error: GeoIP API: Error traversing database – perhaps it is corrupt? in html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-geo-ip.php on line 1535

This is a very common error people are talking about on both WordPress and Woocommerce forums.  The forums are reporting its happening on GoDaddy and MediaTemple hosted websites.

Woocommerce released an update on 10/26 that apparently addressed some of these API issues.

Here is the fix

Delete these files:
wp-content/uploads/GeoIP.dat
wp-content/uploads/GeoIPv6.dat
